William Sadler - Worship & Students

Date, Place of Birth: October 27th, 1982 in Albany, Ga.

Places (states) lived in: Georgia (Albany and now Athens)


Education: Associates in General Studies from Darton College and B.A. in Religion from LaGrange College. I am currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Worship Ministries through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (N. Ga. Hub).

Salvation Experience: When I was about 12 years old I walked the aisle at my home church (Sherwood Baptist), prayed “the prayer” and got baptized. Believing I was saved, I did my best to live like a “good person” like I thought a Christian should. However, on September 22, 2008 during the Tuesday night of the ReFresh Conference my hometown pastor gave an invitation that was an answered prayer. I had been dealing with a lot of uncertainty about my salvation for several weeks leading up to that night. The Lord was speaking to me and calling me to lay down my pride (I was on a church staff at the time) and follow him completely. That night I got my salvation and baptism in the right order and began a fully committed life w/ Christ!


Work/Ministry experiences: Installing sprinkler systems during the summer in Southwest Georgia (huge mistake), ice cream scooper at Bruster's, Camp Winshape for Boys, head counselor at Sherwood DayQuest, Resident Assistant at LaGrange College, music/youth intern at Sherwood Baptist Church.

Favorite Things about Life Church: I love everyone’s willingness to immediately take everything, big or small, to the Lord in prayer; they are all true servants. I also love the undeniable sense of excitement from everyone as we see what the Lord is doing in and through Life Church.

Family Members: Nancy (Mom), Steve (Dad), Frances (Sister).

Hobbies: MUSIC, basketball (watching and playing), cheering on my UNC Tar Heels (basketball) and UGA ‘Dawgs (football), continually learning new things about ministry, enjoying all the incredible restaurants in Athens.

Secret Ambition: I’d really love to write worship songs to be used by the local church.
