Josh Wootton - Discipleship & Outreach

· Date, Place of Birth: July 29, 1980 in Brandon, Mississippi.

· Places (states) lived in: Mississippi, Georgia.

· Education: Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from the University of Southern MS (2002), GA certification to teach middle school math (2008) and Language Arts (2010). I am currently pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree (w/ focus on Apologetics) from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

· Salvation Experience: At 12 years old, I attended a Disciple Now weekend in Brandon, MS. Many of the questions I had about God were answered that weekend, and I decided to trust my life to Him. I haven’t been the same since!

· Work/Ministry experiences: Secular – (after college) in-home elder care, Goodwill Career services (vocational-rehab, adult education / GED prep., job-training) middle school math teacher. Ministry – discipleship and outreach with Life Church of Athens.

· Favorite Things about Life Church: I get to be a part of a church that is concerned with living out the Bible and work with a staff that is willing to make unpopular decisions for the glory of God’s kingdom.

· Family Members: Jennifer (married in 2005), Levi (1/1/11)

· Hobbies: Playing music, exercising, reading.

· Secret Ambition: To get knocked out by Mike Tyson.
